I’ve known Rusty since I started working full time for Alliance Wakeboard Magazine. He started out as a part time intern, became a more full time office manager/assistant/do-it-all-hero, and is now a full time office manager/sales associate/retail development guy/do-it-all-hero. No matter his role at Alliance, he’s always been a great friend, so when he and his fiancee Tristan asked if I could photograph their wedding, it was a no brainer.

Tristan and Rusty are one of the most laid-back, fun-loving couples I’ve ever met, and it showed the day of their wedding. Ever seen a bald groom have his best man give him a fresh dome shave just before the ceremony starts? Me neither. Ever seen a bride and groom do a shot of Jägermeister before exchanging vows? Me neither. Ever seen the entire wedding party enter the reception wearing fake mustaches? And partying much of the night with them still on? Me neither. Those were just a few of the lighthearted moments I was able to photograph when documenting this insanely fun wedding in Carlsbad, CA. Rusty and Tristan are an awesome couple and they definitely know how to have an awesome time when it comes to getting married. Take a look below and see for yourself.
